My Monday

I can't believe its been as long as it has since I've posted!! I have been so busy lately and out of town for a fantastic weekend in Flagstaff with Jason. But the real reason I have been so MIA is that I was completely immersed in all four parts of the Twilight series. And I can't believe I actually wrote that "out loud" LOL. It took me a little over a week to read all four books and as glad as I am that its over and I can be a little more productive in my life...I'm sad that its done! I realize that this series is aimed more for teens and that some may claim that its a cheesy love story, but in my mind it was entertaining. I loved how descriptive of a writer she is describing Washington and the dark drab scenery. I loved the love story in it and the suspense. I had held out for so long to read them because I wasn't sure i got all the hype over it especially when a movie came out but my friends kept trying to convince me. (Good thing I was short on new good books to read!) Well for anyone who hasn't read it or was thinking maybe they wouldn't because its too tween for them...I suggest at least trying the first one for a few chapters and giving it a chance. I am ALL FOR anything that gets people excited about reading!! I wish more of my friends and people I love in my life (ahem...jason) didn't hate reading so much or tell me they haven't read a book since high school because they had to. I love most of the books I read in high school and kept most of them! (I know this makes me more of a nerd). Also I'm always up for good book recommendations and will take any suggestions that YOU might have!!

Maybe a short list of what I love??

Why not?

The Alchmist or pretty much anything by Paulo Coelho.
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant
Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold (what they are making a movie?!@)
Anything by Jodi Picoult
Julie of the Wolves by Jean Craighead George
Life of Pi by Yann Martel
The Last Promise and The Sunflower by Richard Paul Evans
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

Ok I could go on and on so I'll stop here!

Anyway, on to another busy day. I have a Halloween party at work tonight during our meeting, which feels a little like they are distracting us from another long boring meeting with candy and prizes. But I promised I'd make something for this party and went to bake last night before bed (I seem to do all my best baking at midnight) and realized my eggs were SUPER expired!! So I have to rush home after my day job to make this cake before work this evening! AHH the life of working two jobs huh? So far we have NO plans for Halloween which is kinda strange. Jason wants to dress up this year...I have actually never dressed up for Halloween, but we aren't sure if we have to work that night or not so its seems like a waste to spend money on something we won't use. I decided I really like all these milestones that are passing for me and Jason. All these new things he's introducing into my life (not like I think he invented Halloween or anything) or that he's doing to share in mine. Its really nice :) That's all I'm going to say about that.

Well I will be back! Please don't leave followers! I know I have neglected my page but I will do better!! LOL not that I'm begging or anything right? ;)

Have a fantastic Wednesday all!!
